Although there’s
no doubt that Haan Tu Hai, from Jannat (2008) was a decent number, it
wasn’t as popular as the other songs in the film.
That was attributable
to two factors – firstly, it was a mundane track, and secondly, the listeners
had, by then, grown weary of Pritam’s seemingly endless stream of inspiration.
Portions of the
track, which was rendered by KK, were inspired by Ana Ayesh from Amr Diab’s album Allem
Alby, which released in 2003. These included the hook.
Mayur Puri
penned the song, which was five minutes and 25 seconds long.
