Pritam’s
penchant for inspired compositions may not have stopped any other musician’s Huqa Pani, but Channo, from Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar’s debut album (which released
in 2003), resurfaced in a desi avatar
– as Chhore Ki Baatein, from Fight Club – Members Only.
The track, which
was penned by Mayur Puri, was four minutes and 46 seconds long.
(Am)It was
rendered by a pair with pedigree – Mr Kumar was joined behind the microphone by
Shweta Pandit, whose grand-uncle is the classical vocalist Pandit Jasraj.
The remixed
version of the track was 21 seconds shorter than the original.
