Amidst the Kak(kar)ophony, this trA(c)k(rit)impressed

Mohabbat Aapse, Pritam’s second contribution to the soundtrack of Aa Dekhen Zara, was definitely a tad impressive vis-à-vis his first.

The track was the only female solo on the soundtrack – it was rendered by Akriti Kakkar.
Most listeners were probably not familiar with the word Aquidat, let alone its meaning*.

That must have been a trick Mr Kamil, who penned it, (Irs)had up his sleeve.

As the name suggested, it was a romantic number, and mercifully, the prevalent trend – of remixing every track in an album – was bucked.

(*Note: An Urdu word, it means belief.)
