Metro, which released in 2007 and was one of Pritam’s most
widely-appreciated offerings, had just one original track, and that was Alvida.
Rendered by none
other than KK (who is a frequent collaborator with the composer), the song was
penned by Amitabh Varma.
The soundtrack
of the film earned Pritam a nomination in the Best Music Director category at
the 2008 Filmfare Awards.
He founded Band
Metro, a rock quartet comprising Soham Chakraborty, Suhail Kaul and James (besides
himself). James sang Alvida (Reprise).
