Compared to the
other songs on the soundtrack of Bhool
Bhulaiyaa (2007), Allah Hafiz was
indeed a let-down.
Although it was about
the metaphorical safar (Hindi for
journey), it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the listeners suffered. Mercifully, not
for too long, as it was the shortest song in the film (it was four minutes and
34 seconds long).
Penned by
Sameer, it was composed by Pritam (who was partly inspired by the title track
of Amr Diab’s 1998 album Awedony).
It was among the
lows in the career of KK, who rendered it.
