Rakesh probably impressed the Pandits

An awesome combo of pop and qawwali – that, in a nutshell, was Dil Tod Ke Na Ja from Pyaar Ke Side Effects (2006).

Among Pritam’s best soundtracks to date, it was, by far, the most underrated. Is it any wonder, then, that it was appreciated only by the classes?

However, it didn’t seem to lack mass appeal, as was evident from the aforementioned track, which was four minutes and 42 seconds long.

Penned by Mayur Puri, it was rendered by Rakesh Pandit.

Mika was credited with Sing(h)ing its remixed version, which was three seconds shorter.
