Mr Nigam’s solo was superb

Main Ki Karaan? – Punjabi for, “What do I do” – was a song from Laal Singh Chaddha.

As a person who grew up in the 1990s, and a Hindi film music buff, I was delighted when I read it was written by Sonu Nigam.

And there’s no two ways about the fact that it was a treat to the ears.

In a video posted to the crooner’s YouTube channel, it took him five-and-a-half hours to record.

The track – which was written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and was composed by Pritam – was four minutes and 19 seconds long.
